Java Coding

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Diving into Java with teen girls and women.

Learn the fundamentals of coding through Java, one of the most popular and in-demand programming languages. This women-only course prepares students in grades 11 – 12, college and beyond for the Oracle Level 1 Certification. The course will introduce students to software engineering and object-oriented programming using the Java programming language. Key topics include using code to solve problems, understanding code logic, organizing data and using algorithms to process data, and the ethical use of computing systems.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Program runs Sundays, October 30 – May 28. There will be no classes during midwinter break January 29 – February 5.

Office hours are available for student support.

PROGRAM COST

The program fee for adults and college students is $300. Students who attend local high schools pay only $75.
